Former Finance Minister of New Zealand, Hon Sir Roger Douglas, recently shared his analysis of the present situation in New Zealand, contrasting it with the lot of their neighbors from Singapore. On every grounds (public finances, growth, health care, education) Singapore is faring better. Singapore’s great founding leader Lee Kuan Yew believed in “a fair society, not a welfare society.” This explains the results, says the father of “Rogernomics” who also outlines an economic program to get New Zealand back on the route to prosperity.
