We are delighted to announce that the French government definitely abandoned the project to ntroduce a carbon tax. This decision came after the ruling of the Constituional Council at the end of 2009 against this tax and the discontent of the public opinion (IREF and Contribuables Associés addressed a petition against the carbon tax). The failure of the carbon tax is a victory for the civil society!
