According to a poll by TNS Sofres, 2/3 of French people confess to have had any training courses in economics at school or at the University. Only one in ten is reading the economic journals. It is worth to say that education programs in France are monopolized by the State and obviously civil servants in charge of this task have never thought that some economics classes could be useful for students. It is not surprising therefore that French are swallowing anything about economics, the crisis, recovery plans and so on…
